Software Sales Account Executive

We are looking for hardcore sales people who truly know how to sell. Do you understand the concept of a "sales pipeline" and "sales cycles"? A great sales person should take ownership of every sales engagement—connecting with prospects, learning about their pain points, addressing their fears, and articulating the value of our products. You should get a rush of satisfaction from every closed deal and fight hard to beat target—month after month—not because your manager tells you to, but because you have a natural drive to be the best.

This role requires both passion for the hunt and stamina to hit the metaphorical pavement day after day. This is an in-office position. Our Austin office is located at 979 Springdale Road, Suite 123, Austin, TX 78702.

Skills and characteristics of successful candidates for this role include:

  • Ability to build trust with prospects and guide them through our sales process
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn
  • Strong knowledge of both technology and business
  • 100% comfort talking on the phones
  • Ability to respectfully de-escalate frustrated prospects
  • Intuitive awareness of when to listen and when to talk
  • Capacity to connect the dots between prospect’s interdepartmental pain points
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Independence and self-motivation

As an inbound sales role, Software Sales Account Executives must be highly comfortable converting prospects over the phone and via well-composed emails. AEs must be able to proactively manage their pipeline through clear communication, proactive time-management, and diligent utilization of our CRM. Expertise in business software is a major benefit, though any experienced and passionate sales person can be successful if they are willing to put in the effort to learn the technology. This role is fully in-office.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a track record of achieving goals and maintaining high performance standards
  • Proven experience in IT/software sales, with a strong understanding of sales strategies, market trends, and the ability to manage and grow client relationships effectively

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Complete 40-50 calls per day
  • Qualify leads
  • Update CRM daily on all interactions with prospects
  • Maintain a clean, healthy pipeline
  • Collaborate with technical teams on solution building for prospects
  • Learn multiple software products inside and out

Compensation for this role is a competitive base salary plus commission, depending on experience, with special consideration given to exceptional candidates. Zoho provides medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as employer-matching 401k and other benefits.
