Job Description:

Major Responsibilities

(20%) Coordinate and technically support the efficient execution of activities on the field (ZS of Kikula and DPS) according to the detailed plan approved by the Donors

(15%) Involve local leaders of the ZS of Kikula, the DPS of Haut Katanga through the PNLS, PNMLS, and PNSA of Haut Katanga in the execution of field activities

(15%) Ensure supervision and coaching of technical actors under responsibility (Supporting the technical team of partners working on the project)

(5%) Assist technically the Cluster Manager in decision-making and suggest solutions to operational constraints/difficulties related to the project

(10%) Prepare and submit project reports (monthly and quarterly) on time and ensure their correct archiving

(10%) Convene weekly technical meetings with all key actors involved in the project and participate in different external meetings with other stakeholders

(15%) Collaborate with the Fundraising Departments (GAM) to mobilize more funds (designing new projects) in the Child Health & Nutrition sector with the support of different donors and partners (United Nations Agencies and others): UNAIDS, Global Fund, PEPFAR, World Bank, etc. (including the support offices of World Vision)

(5%) Regularly ensure budget consumption without exceeding (Respect of budget lines)

(5%) Evaluate its performance and propose improvement measures to discuss with technical and matrix superiors

(5%) Ensure understanding of new World Vision DRC policies and strategies and donor funder policies and strategies. Ensure respect of policies and strategies by the staff.

(5%) Participate in joint field visits (WV, donor funders, and Congolese Government)

Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Hold a Doctor of Medicine Surgery and Obstetrics Degree
  • A Master's in Public Health or related fields is an asset

Experience of work additional required as a minimum qualification for this position:

  • Experience with International NGOs or United Nations agencies, experience in projects funded by international donors;
  • At least 5 years of experience as managers of Multisectoral Health/Programs;
  • At least 3 years of field experience, preferably in the field of HIV/AIDS, community focus on young people and adolescents.
  • Have skills to conduct informal or formal technical training sessions in similar areas (HIV/AIDS Prevention, HIV/AIDS Testing, mentoring of young people and adolescents,
  • Have the ability to design and use tools,
  • Be able to analyze programmatic, financial, and GAS reports; produce quality reports respecting the different templates shared by WV and PNLS&PNMLS and PNSA, and submit them on time to the relevant authorities.
  • Have experience in conducting project evaluations.
  • Have sufficient abilities to generate strong community engagement and significant social mobilization.

Language requirements as a minimum qualification for this position:

  • Ability to speak, read, and write French;
  • Practical English would be an asset.
