Program Manager, Talent Strategy And Operations
The Talent Strategy and Operations team is seeking a strategic and innovative program manager to drive and activate an integrated skills strategy that aligns to Nordstrom's business priorities and future skills roadmap. This role will focus on building a skills-based organization to ensure our employees remain agile and future-ready to ensure achievement of Nordstrom's long-term business goals. This is a high-impact program manager role that will be at the forefront of revolutionizing how we develop and leverage skills in the workforce, unlocked through It will work cross-functionally with the HR function, Business Leaders, Product Management and Technology to develop and implement a holistic skills philosophy, strategy and framework throughout Nordstrom's employee journey.
A day in the life...
- Management of the skills-based talent program, strategy, and roadmap to phase the delivery of skills across the enterprise.
- Develop robust project plans, communication materials (i.e., decks), and stakeholder engagement models to drive ownership and accountability of key milestones in the skills strategy - bringing team members along each step of the way.
- Partner with the Business Leaders and stakeholders across Nordstrom to ensure a collective and connected view across dependencies in developing and activating the skills strategy.
- Develop, implement and lead a sustainable and flexible skills governance approach across the enterprise.
- Support and execution in the building of the broader vendor, technology, and skills data roadmap to unlock the skills strategy in partnership with HR Product, HR Tech/Ops, learning and talent management.
- Lead an integrated change management effort, aligned to the desired business drivers, in support of ensuring a successful and sustainable implementation of the skills strategy.
- Stay on the forefront of skills-based models, vendors, and the impact AI can have on the skills ecosystem.
You own this if you have...
- 5+ years of experience Human Resources program management or project management experience
- Experience in project management of large-scale enterprise Human Resources efforts that deliver value to the business.
- Experience in the skills-based ecosystem – understanding of skills frameworks, learning platforms, and the Tech/AI systems that support skills.
- Experience in the identification and management of external vendors to support the delivery of enterprise-wide efforts.
- Proven success in using data to influence stakeholders and partners to adopt a specific direction or strategy.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to partner with employees on all levels of the organization.
Location: This is a hybrid role requiring the elected candidate to work onsite four (4) days per week and be located within a commutable distance of the Nordstrom corporate offices in downtown Seattle, WA.
