Account Manager

The Account Manager will play a critical commercial role in accelerating revenue growth across Singapore and Southeast Asia (SEA). This position is responsible for originating, developing, and closing high-value advertising and event sponsorship partnerships with both agencies and direct clients across the region.

Based in Singapore, the role requires a highly consultative seller with strong market relationships, a proven track record in integrated media sales, and the ability to structure sophisticated cross-platform and sponsorship solutions.

The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing strategic accounts while contributing to the broader commercial strategy across Singapore and SEA.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Own and deliver revenue targets across digital, TV, branded content, and event sponsorship, driving growth from both new and existing clients across Singapore and Southeast Asia, with a strong hunter mindset to unlock new business opportunities.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through proactive business development, strategic account expansion, and accurate forecasting, consistently identifying and converting new revenue streams.
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with agencies, trading desks, and direct clients, acting as a trusted, consultative partner.
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value, multi-market deals in alignment with CNN's commercial standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and deliver high-impact, integrated proposals working closely with creative, editorial, marketing, programmatic, digital, PR, and Audience & Data teams.
  • Contribute to regional commercial strategy through market insights while maintaining strong sales discipline, while supporting and mentoring junior team members and fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4-6+ years' industry experience in sales, advertising, branded content, sponsorship, events, or digital marketing, gained at an international media owner, broadcaster, premium publisher, media agency, ad tech company, or leading social media/platform business.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets across Singapore and/or Southeast Asia.
  • Demonstrated success in selling event sponsorships and integrated, multi-platform solutions.
  • Strong, established relationships with Singapore-based agencies and SEA regional clients.
  • Experience across digital and TV solutions, with the ability to drive revenue beyond standard advertising formats through creative, integrated offerings.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to structure and close complex, multi-market deals.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English. Additional language capabilities would be an advantage.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, highly driven, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to contribute positively in a strong team environment.
