We are looking for an account manager to strengthen the commercial presence of VusionGroup in Canada and to develop the client base. The position holder will be tasked with building and closing a pipeline of Canadian independent retailers of small and medium size (SME) as well as regional, in predefined sectors, to sell VusionGroup solutions. Initially, the main objective of this role will be to open new retail sectors.
- Develop business to create new prospects and open new sectors.
- Sign pilot projects and build relationships with buying groups.
- Develop the pharmacy vertical.
- Create and manage relationships with buying groups, franchisees, or potential partners (e.g., already integrated POS).
- Accelerate key sales and partnerships.
- Execute sales activities effectively and maintain a pipeline to generate revenue to meet or exceed objectives and expectations.
- Establish several contacts and build relationships at different levels and departments with prospects, developing champions within the organization to strengthen relationships.
- Develop and manage relationships with buying groups to implement marketing initiatives, generate new business, and maintain a sustainable partnership.
- Create campaigns to convert identified prospects into opportunities.
- Present the company's solutions and offerings.
- Conduct in-person appointments when necessary for larger clients.
- Participate in trade shows to contribute to the conclusion of transactions.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 4 years of experience in sales and business development
- Experience working in a start-up and/or ambiguous environment, with proven ability to adapt
- Experience in the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
- Skills:
- Solid understanding of selling to SME or larger enterprise clients (preferred)
- Go-getter mentality, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Abilities:
- Ability and willingness to meet ambitious sales deadlines and objectives
- Flexibility to meet travel requirements (approximately 50%, mainly domestic), including participation in trade shows and client visits
- Fluency in French and English (required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Salesforce (preferred)
- Experience in marketing and/or close collaboration with a marketing lead generation team (advantage)
- Creative mindset in sales and autonomy
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience within a SaaS software company
- Experience in sales in retail environments, with a focus on C-suite level clients
