Lead Tribal Training and Technical Assistance Specialist – Housing and Community Development

ICF seeks an experienced Lead Training and Technical Assistance Specialist to provide training and technical assistance (T/TA) to American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. In this role, you will support communities and the management of their federal awards. You will contribute to the development of innovative, high-quality products and services to support ICF's projects and partnerships in Indian Country and throughout Alaska. Applicants should have the ability and willingness to travel up to 25%. This position is ON-CALL, Part-Time with variable hours; assignments are made on a demand-response basis, so hours are completely variable. We are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and technical assistance to American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities.
  • Manage complex tasks, project timelines, and deliverables.
  • Co-lead key tasks and assist in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data through reports, briefs, presentations, and other dissemination modes.
  • Contribute to writing reports and other technical reports.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience providing training and technical assistance and conducting needs assessments.
  • Applicants should have the ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Additional Skills We Expect You To Have:

  • Experience with technology, e.g., setting up audio/visual equipment and comfortable with technologies that facilitate virtual meetings and communication.
  • Experience in housing and community development programs.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to perform or manage a full range of training and technical assistance-related work including the ability to plan, organize, and manage the provision of direct technical assistance services.

  • Proficient in MS applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated excellent analytic and effective communication skills.
  • Superior technical writing skills including editing ability (writing sample is required with application).
  • Strong organizational skills, superior attention to detail, and ability to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Superior interpersonal skills including professionalism and a collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, work independently, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.

Pay Range

There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $89,203.00 - $151,646.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
