The IT Internship at Virginia Green provides hands-on, practical experience to help you kickstart your IT career. As an intern, you will support the IT team with hardware, software, and account management while gaining exposure to cybersecurity, cloud administration, data management, analytics, and infrastructure projects. • Assist the IT team with provisioning and deprovisioning workstations, mobile devices, and managing account access. • Provide technical support for hardware and software, both in-person and remotely. • Manage service request tickets through resolution using the service desk platform, keeping supervisors and internal customers updated. • Support Microsoft 365 applications, Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint, and Teams. • Assist with cybersecurity tasks such as endpoint protection monitoring, MFA setup, and phishing alert review. • Configure and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and related devices. • Participate in IT projects including migrations, security assessments, process automation, and data/dashboard initiatives. • Ensure the protection of company and customer data by maintaining a secure environment.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills with a working knowledge of current technologies. • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and related collaboration tools. • Experience with Windows, iOS, and Android operating systems. • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID for user account management. • Basic understanding of antivirus software and network troubleshooting. • Knowledge of configuring and networking peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.). • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels. • Effective problem-solving, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. • Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree program related to Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a similar field. • Students enrolled in accredited community college or technical programs will also be considered. • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 required (3.0 or higher preferred).
