Central State Hospital (CSH) is a 277-bed Joint Commission accredited psychiatric inpatient facility located in Petersburg, Virginia. This will enhance our capacity to provide high-quality care in a supportive environment that promotes healing and recovery. ***Any and all qualifications that you have must be represented in your application/resume as verifiable work experience.*** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required to Successfully Perform the Job: - Experience with grounds/landscaping work and associated safety practices. - Experience with general building maintenance and associated safety practices. - Experience of the maintenance of vehicles and associated safety practices. - Knowledge of a State driving laws and the use of road maps to transport patients in a safe and timely manner. - Ability to work various shifts during emergencies and/or agency needs. - Ability to work using a team approach. - Ability to follow State policies and procedures. - Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. - Ability to perform repetitive motion to include standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and scaffolding of all types. - Ability to work with various chemicals and during all weather conditions. **This position is subject to mandatory overtime for all types of storm response, including ice and snow pretreatment and removal for CSH.**

Minimum Qualifications Required: - Class B CDL - Experience with Grounds/Landscaping Work and Associated Safety Practices - Experience with General Building Maintenance and Associated Safety Practices

Additional Considerations Preferred: - Experience in the Operation of Passenger Buses and Vans - Experience with the Operation of Small Power Equipment and the Mechanical Ability to Perform Preventative and General Maintenance on this Equipment
