The Role and What You Will Do

Each day, we challenge ourselves to make a difference in the world and here’s how the Manager, Injectables - Ops & Tech Services will have an impact:

Project Management:

Within the injectables product lifecycle management service, you will need to implement technical projects, mainly for the EU, on time. To do this, you will collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders involved in quality control and/or product manufacturing.

You will lead projects such as the implementation of new active ingredient sources, the transfer or validation of analytical methods, the optimization of manufacturing processes, and the transfer of technologies to ensure the continuity of injectable drug supply.

Analytical and Technical Expertise:

As an expert, you will evaluate the impact of changes on the quality control or production of finished products. You will work cross-functionally with Viatris functions and subcontractors to maintain or improve product quality.

Your expertise will also be valued during investigations initiated by quality assurance or regulatory affairs.

Your Missions:

  • Project management of injectable product optimization

  • Organize, plan, and monitor project stages from start to finish to meet quality, cost, and time targets.

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders (Quality Control, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Production, etc.)

  • Ensure consistent communication on project progress, both internally and externally.

  • Lead the evaluation of the impact of various types of changes on the finished product (modification/addition of analytical method, change in manufacturing process of active ingredient or finished product, change in packaging, etc.) and implement the appropriate strategies from a regulatory, quality, and technical perspective.

  • Coordinate the development and validation of analytical methods as well as the transfer of analytical methods with Viatris subcontractors.

  • Monitor the validations of manufacturing processes with subcontractors (CDMO).

  • Analytical and technical expertise

  • Provide technical evaluation and define an action plan for changes to the active ingredient or finished product.

  • Critical evaluation of the development/validation protocols and reports of analytical methods of subcontractors (CDMO).

  • Critical evaluation of the validation protocols and reports of manufacturing processes of subcontractors (CDMO).

Your Skills and Experience

For this position, we are looking for a candidate who possesses an effective combination of skills, talents, and experiences including:

  • Professional English required

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a pharmaceutical environment with a thorough understanding of analytical chemistry/quality control and the manufacturing of sterile products.

  • Experience in a quality control laboratory would be a plus.

  • Project management

  • Communication and leadership skills

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly evolving international environment to meet departmental goals.
