Mature Workers Wanted... Support yourself and build your resume while giving back locally! Looking to add skills to your resume to get that better paying job? Or are you jumping back into the workforce after a long absence? If you're over 55 and currently between jobs, the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) offered by AARP Foundation can help you learn new skills while giving back to your community.
Here's how it works:
Paid Training Assignments: SCSEP matches eligible jobseekers with local nonprofits and public agencies (such as day care centers, senior centers, schools, and hospitals) for paid training assignments.
Benefits:
- Gain work experience that you can add to your résumé.
- Receive on-the-job training in new computer or vocational skills.
- Get professional job placement assistance to find full-time or part-time employment.
- Work an average of 20 hours per week.
Eligibility: To apply for a training assignment, you must be age 55 or older, unemployed, and living on a limited income.
Positions include but are not limited to: Administrative-Clerical. Custodian-Building Maintenance. Customer Service Representative.
There are some important qualifications that you must meet. Please do not respond to this ad unless you are:

- Meet income guidelines
- Unemployed
- Must live in one of the following counties:
- Schuylkill, Bradford, Columbia, Lackawanna, Monroe, Montour, Pike, Wayne.
