Reporting to the Manager, Distribution Sales, the Distribution Account Manager plays a critical role in driving profitable volume growth through Hach's distribution network across the United States. This position is part of the Sales team and can be located anywhere in the U.S., within a reasonable commuting distance from a major airport.
This role is responsible for executing sales strategies, building strong distributor relationships, and promoting Hach's products and services to expand market share. Critically, it also drives collaboration between Hach's distribution partners and the direct selling team.
What you'll do:
Build strong relationships with leadership, category/market managers, and key distribution account influencers to drive collaboration and sustained sales growth.
Lead and coach distributor sales teams to meet revenue goals, while aligning with cross-functional strategic objectives in a matrixed environment.
Develop and execute action plans across sales, service, support, and application development to ensure account success.
Champion distribution strategy with executive leadership, Sales, Business Units, and Marketing, ensuring alignment and visibility.
Utilize visual funnel management, action planning, and field engagement to drive standard work and continuous improvement.
Deliver timely insights on channel expansion, forecasts, market trends, and competitive intelligence, while managing contracts in line with company policy.
Are you qualified?
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
4–6 years of sales experience, preferably in the water industry or industrial market
Experience working with distribution channels is required
Formal sales training in value-based selling methodologies (e.g., Sandler, Question-Based Selling) is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically for sales meetings and events, collaborating with partners, and to be in territory with sellers
Below is the base pay compensation range for this role. This role is also eligible for incentive pay.
The compensation range for this role is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
