Client Service Representative

VCA Care Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative with previous veterinary experience to join our fun and hardworking team.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality customer service and patient care.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Clients by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

Essential Functions:

• Customer service functions including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and getting to know our clients and their pets.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining estimates and processing payments.
• Discussing doctor's recommendations, including prescription medications.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
• Managing electronic medical records, reports and correspondence.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of proven past experience helping customers in a veterinary hospital setting.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Compassion for pets and people, and empathy during difficult interactions.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to integrate new information.
• Willingness to work week day's with a flexible schedule.
• The ability to lift up to 40lbs and perform general hospital cleaning, as well as be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.

Benefits vary based on employment status.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $18 to $20 per hour.
