Position Entailments
- Maintain weekly project progress tracking and requested project documentation for active projects.
- Collect and distribute project performance information to the project team, advising project team of recommended actions based on noted project performance.
- Ensure alignment of project records, between corporate accounting software, project management software, and project data locations.
- Assist Project Manager in identification of project change orders, communicating requests for change orders to contracts department and advising finance department.
- Assist Project Manager when project issues or risks are identified, assisting in implementing recommended actions as to reduce risk to overall project performance and success.
- Assist Project Manager in the coordination of project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget monitoring, and other factors necessary for success.
- Assist Project Manager in preparing reports and presentations.
- Prepare and maintain electronic and paper project files.
- Perform document control functions including internal and external issue and receipt of deliverables.
- Maintain project registries that capture stakeholder communication, internally and externally.
- Assist with ensuring project activities adhere to quality assurance requirements.
- Recommend and assist in implementing new processes, in conjunction with Manager.
- Assist Project Manager by identifying invoicing milestones and liaise with finance team to prepare invoice.
- Assist Project team with scheduling and preparation of project meetings.
- Attend project debriefs in order to identify areas for improvement; make recommendations based on findings.
Please note: This position is offered as a 1-Year Temporary Position, with the possibility of extension.
Qualifications
- Will hold a minimum qualification of a recognized degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years' experience using Microsoft Project or equivalent.
- Will typically have 5-10 years' experience coordinating projects.
- Experience in coordinating complex multi-year projects.
- Preferable to hold an external associate Project Management certification, such as PMI, CAPM or Project Management Associate, but not required.
- Communicates clearly and can complete work within budget and deadlines.
- Willingness to be developed, mentored, or coached by senior staff.
Competitive Salary Range: CA $66,000 - $74,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, as outlined in the job description/posting.
