Radiology Holding Unit Tech for the Radiology Nursing Department, under the supervision of a Nurse, performs routine personal care duties for patients including (but not limited to) starting IVs, drawing blood, inserting Foley catheters, draining peritoneal fluid, obtaining vital signs, and transporting of patients as needed. Tech will also be responsible for unit supply management and stocking duties. Maintains a safe environment and reports any problems.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Certification & Licensures: BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required * New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation
Qualifications: Understanding of basic principles of human growth and development required Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on age of the patient served required Reliable means of phone communication with hospital required
