The IT Services Help Desk Supervisor manages student employees, oversees daily IT support operations, and collaborates with IT leadership on strategic projects. This role combines technical expertise, team supervision, and customer service to enhance the Law School's IT experience.

Key Responsibilities

Help Desk Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise student IT support staff.
  • Direct daily help desk operations in collaboration with the IT Services Chief Architect.
  • Monitor and report on service quality, satisfaction, and performance metrics.
  • Serve on IT project teams and assist with special projects as assigned.

Web Services:

  • Supervise students in maintaining and updating Law School webpages.
  • Train students in content creation and design.
  • Design and maintain webpages for style, usability, and accessibility.
  • Develop scripts and tools to track webpage usage, analytics, and IT service metrics.

Departmental Support:

  • Contribute to IT planning, reporting, and documentation.
  • Lead departmental documentation and record-keeping efforts.
  • Support IT project management, budgeting, and license tracking.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning initiatives.

What Qualifies You For This Role?

Required:

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and customer service abilities.
  • Technical proficiency with hardware, software, and IT support processes.
  • Experience with web design and graphic design (layouts, content, and accessibility).
  • Proficiency in at least one Adobe Creative Suite application (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, systems, and software.
  • Strong initiative, attention to detail, and sound decision-making skills.
  • Some experience with editing practices.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with ITSM best practices.
  • Experience with databases and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).

Job Type: Part-time Benefitted, 28 hours per week

Pay Level: 48

Typical Starting Pay: $20.00 - $25.75 an hour Actual compensation based on education and experience

Desired Start Date: As soon as possible
