As a Business Development and Customer Success Associate, you will be the first point of contact for prospective and current customers. Your role is to support enrollment growth, deliver exceptional service/experience, and represent British Swim School's values with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails and online chats
  • Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and class adjustments. Prioritize as needed
  • Process enrollments, payments, and schedule changes
  • Make outbound calls to self-generated and acquired leads
  • Maintain accurate call records by documenting all call details in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Business development - working with community partners (daycares, preschools, etc.)
  • Represent British Swim School during local outreach and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM
  • Track and report lead follow-ups and enrollment conversions
  • Attend staff meetings and stay informed about local promotions and events
  • Creating and maintaining Swim Instructors' schedule on a weekly basis

Skills and abilities required include:

  • Positive, enthusiastic personality with excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service and sales abilities
  • Comfortable with multitasking and technology (phone systems, CRM, etc.)
  • Reliable, organized, and committed to following procedures
  • Completion of required training (CRM, online training modules, etc.)
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Customer Service and/or Sales experience - 1 year (preferred)

Job type: Part-time (Day shift)

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours of work: 16 – 25 per week. Five days a week including weekends. Hybrid Work: On-site during weekdays and remote during weekends. Ability to commute to work location: NW Portland, OR 97229

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
