Grundfos Commercial Building Services (CBS) is seeking an experienced Senior Key Account Manager Data Center Projects. This Key Account Manager will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with stakeholders, including distribution reps, end users, consultants and contractors, in the data center market across the USA & Canada. This role requires a technical and strategic thinker who can identify opportunities for growth, develop tailored solutions, and effectively communicate the value proposition of Grundfos products and services. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our market presence and achieving sales targets within the data center segment. This position reports directly to the Regional Manager Data Centers CBS and will operate on a remote schedule.

Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support now or in the future.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of products, applications and solutions relevant to the data center market in the US and Canada. Effectively communicate this value proposition to all connected stakeholders to drive data center sales.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the data center industry, namely distributors, consultants, contractors and owners. Understand their technical & business needs and provide solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets. Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the data center sector.
  • Maintain state-of-the-art level competencies by attending training courses, seminars, workshops, etc. as required.
  • Work within the Data Center Team, and collaborate with CSSC, Operations, Engineering and other internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met and to facilitate the development of solutions and sales.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas of potential growth.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with data center customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with Grundfos' business objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on account status, sales forecasts, and market insights to management.

The pay range for this position is $86,000.00-$136,000.00. Actual pay will depend upon skill set, experience, and location.

We imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical or business degree required.
  • 5-10 years of experience years of Industrial, Commercial, Municipal sales or equivalent experience. Data center industry experience a strong advantage.
  • Experience with Pumps, Pump Systems, Motors & Drives in pumping applications a positive.
  • Comprehensive technical aptitude, ability to understand and articulate complex technical solutions and concepts.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or sales engineering preferably in the engineered solutions or industrial products industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, channel management and partner relationships, with ability to build & maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders
  • Understanding of profit and loss accounting and the basic flow of revenue in an organization. Ability to use CRM and business analytics tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats and to various levels of customer and management audiences.
  • Ability to travel 20-30%, including overnights and weekends.
