Position Overview

The Chamber is seeking a senior fundraising and corporate relations expert to spearhead member engagement and growth. This role involves leading engagement with high-level members, overseeing day-to-day C-suite relationships, and identifying and nurturing new revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superb relationship management skills and have deep experience and expertise in partnering directly with C-suite executives to understand goals and deliver opportunities.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of significant members within the Chamber, working closely with C-suite decision-makers and government affairs leaders. Actively engage with members to deliver value through regular connections and touchpoints, news and policy updates, and event invitations and opportunities.

Meet or exceed annual revenue and retention goals within an assigned portfolio; lead the development and implementation of an integrated and strategic revenue plan to grow existing accounts.

Partner with the Chamber's business team to proactively identify new prospective members within a portfolio, ensure that new members are onboarded smoothly and effectively, and contribute to new business proposals and pitches.

Create customized KPIs for each portfolio member company to define success, demonstrate value, chart progress against strategic goals, and exceed members' expectations.

Work creatively and collaboratively with policy expert colleagues to constantly identify new areas of interest for members throughout the Chamber's advocacy offerings, deliver contracted benefits, deepen overall engagement, and unlock additional areas of investment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in fundraising, sales, member or client relations, and project management.

Past work experience in political fundraising, membership organizations, government affairs, communications agencies, or media companies is preferred; direct revenue responsibility is required.

Superior relationship management experience and sales skills; outstanding client service ethic.

Effective presentation and persuasion skills; confidence when conversing with C-suite leaders from large corporations in a business development capacity.

Excellent written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.

Deep intellectual curiosity and a passion for policy, with the ability to simplify complex topics into compelling sales opportunities.

Ability to effectively articulate the Chamber value proposition to our members; an interest in politics and policy and a deep appreciation for the contributions that the Chamber makes to the business community at large.

Demonstrated ability to engage and understand stakeholder issues impacting prospective member industry(ies)/organization(s).

A growth and learning mindset characterized by an openness to challenging assumptions at the organizational and personal levels.

Strong techniques around guiding sales messaging with diplomacy, tact, and sensitivity for a range of audiences; organizational and business savvy.

Data-driven approach to utilizing a CRM, such as Salesforce, to track progress, identify trends, and grow engagement.

The salary range for this position is $111,137.00 to $150,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant's qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
