Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Rep will answer inquiries on customer accounts and investigate any issues, and find resolutions in a timely manner. They will serve as the liaison between the sales staff and the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Retail, Industrial Safety, and Safety Bollard customers.
  • Respond to customer and sales inquiries via phone, email, or chat within 24 hours.
  • Manage customer expectations by providing clear, timely, and accurate communication.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Project Managers, Purchasing, and Distribution Centers to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
  • Review and verify all orders for accuracy, making corrections as needed and reporting findings.
  • Provide accurate order tracking updates, including order date changes.
  • Handle freight quoting and coordinate logistics to meet customer delivery deadlines, including Grand Openings and critical requests.
  • Document complaints and issues through electronic case forms within 24 hours and develop resolution plans.
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide timely resolutions, ensuring 99% order accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to foster loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to internal team meetings, sharing customer updates and insights.
  • Maintain accurate records in customer relationship management systems.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to effectively work in a Windows environment with experience in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in the distribution industry is preferred
  • Problem solver with the ability to multitask using judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent detail-oriented customer service skills
