Customer Service Representative

Our client is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact for our donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries, ensuring their questions and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional service and supporting the mission-driven work of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary contact for incoming calls, emails, and inquiries from donors, volunteers, beneficiaries, and stakeholders
• Resolve issues related to donations, program eligibility, volunteer opportunities, and general questions in a timely manner.
• Provide detailed and accurate information about organizational services, programs, and initiatives.
• Assist with data entry and recordkeeping to maintain accurate donor and beneficiary profiles.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalations and improve customer experience processes.
• Foster strong relationships with donors and volunteers to encourage continued engagement and support.
• Support fundraising campaigns and outreach initiatives by responding to inquiries and providing resources to interested parties.
• Identify and communicate service trends and client concerns to leadership for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a nonprofit setting or an organization with a mission-driven focus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an approachable and professional demeanor.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle interactions with kindness and empathy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Social Services, or related field.
• Experience working with nonprofit software tools such as Salesforce for Nonprofits or Raiser's Edge.
• Familiarity with nonprofit processes including fundraising, outreach, and donor management.
• Bilingual capability is a strong asset but not required.
