Position Summary
The Finance and Administrative Coordinator provide essential financial and administrative support to GFPE's operations. This full-time position plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in financial processes while supporting the broader team with grant and program operations. This is an ideal role for someone looking to start or grow a career in nonprofit or public-sector finance and administration.
Key Responsibilities
Financial and System Support
Enter and reconcile financial data in the Georgia Department of Revenue Tax Center
Maintain and update donation records in the PEACH Education Tax Credit Partners Portal
Submit and track payments, invoices, and reimbursements using TeamWorks, Concur, PeopleSoft, and Workday
Assist with monthly reconciliation, budget tracking, and preparation of financial reports
Communicate with the State Accounting Office to ensure timely submission of required documentation related to setting up and maintaining vendors
Administrative Coordination
Maintain organized records and documentation in alignment with state and foundation policies
Support scheduling, file management, and data entry for internal and external projects
Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Grant Strategies and Executive Director as needed, including support for meetings, events, and special initiatives
Coordinate with vendors, partners, and donors as part of day-to-day operations
Organizational Collaboration
Assist with the preparation of materials for board meetings and grant evaluations
Participate in team meetings and provide logistical or operational support on collaborative projects
Contribute ideas for improving workflows and building capacity in a small, high-impact team
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with Georgia state systems such as PeopleSoft, TeamWorks, Workday, and Concur
Prior internship, volunteer, or work experience in a nonprofit, educational, or government setting
Knowledge of state-level financial procedures and reporting (preferred but not required)
Associate degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience related to area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Busi Support Analyst 1 (GSP130). Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
