Location: Oshkosh, WI or Wausau, WI

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Compensation: Total compensation for this position includes base salary, commissions, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role as well as the geographic location of the role.

What You\'ll Do:

As an Account Manager, your role is to develop and execute market strategies and sales growth plans for assigned and/or new accounts, primarily through telemarketing and electronic outreach. To serve as a business partner for assigned customers by promoting the value of Viking Electric\'s solutions and services, and proactively growing business.

Duties and responsibilities are:

  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with various levels of customer organizations by providing value and commercial insight to customers about their business and market conditions.
  • Prospect for new accounts as applicable.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of, and actively promote, Viking Electric\'s services, solutions, and product offerings - particularly our digital solutions.
  • Negotiate with customers and vendors to obtain orders, meet schedules, enhance profitability, and position Viking Electric as their indispensable supply chain partner.
  • Negotiate, develop, and coordinate implementation of an effective pricing strategy for assigned accounts.
  • Secure SPA commitments from vendor partners and work with pricing team to implement price rules.
  • Utilize available sales resources to quote material, enter sales orders, and manage returns.
  • Identify tasks and transactional-@type business that can be delegated.
  • Communicate individual customer needs and product preferences to Account Representatives or Customer Service Representatives to ensure consistent customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with product specialists (automation, project sales, datacom, tool, digital, etc.) to ensure the customer is receiving information and services needed in a timely fashion.
