In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and supporting Bio-Rad's life science product portfolio to academic and non-profit organizations across the Pacific Northwest. Territory coverage includes Washington, Montana, Oregon, and Idaho. A typical day starts with responding to customer inquiries and updating opportunities in Salesforce. Field time is spent meeting with labs to advance opportunities, grow consumable usage, and strengthen customer relationships. Engage directly with academic customers through regular on-site visits to create and advance active opportunities. The expectation is to be in the field with customers four days a week. You will demonstrate, sell and support customers on Bio-Rad's diverse line of consumables and small equipment. Build and manage a healthy sales funnel by identifying, nurturing, and growing opportunities, with consistent CRM updates and accurate forecasting. Collaborate cross-functionally with your colleagues, including your Account Executive, Field Application Specialists, and Marketing to expand Bio-Rad's footprint and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle and in their ongoing partnership with Bio-Rad. Maintain strong communication and technical fluency, including product knowledge, demonstration skills, and timely reporting to leadership on activities, trends, and customer needs.
Education: BA/BS in a life science discipline required; MS or PhD strongly preferred. Work Experience: 3-5 years of sales or relevant research experience in the life sciences sector, ideally focused on Genomics and/or Proteomics consumable workflows; experience with academic and government accounts is a plus.
