We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Lead to support and lead a team in areas such as electro-mechanical assembly, test, material handling, pack, and ship. The Production Lead is a hands-on process leader responsible for coordinating daily production activities, troubleshooting process issues, and driving continuous improvement within their area of responsibility.
Key job responsibilities include:
Leading a team of technicians and associates to execute daily manufacturing operations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety guidelines.
Acting as the primary point of contact for real-time process issues; troubleshooting and escalating when necessary.
Planning, assigning, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals and schedule adherence, ensuring effective shift handoffs and end-of-shift reporting.
Providing direct coaching and training to team members, contributing to onboarding and ongoing skills development. Developing and implementing training plans within your department.
Maintaining and updating training documents and visual work instructions; validating SOP effectiveness and driving updates when deviations are identified.
Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives (e.g., 6S, safety, Kaizen), using data collection and root cause analysis to drive results.
Reviewing team output for quality and adherence to production specifications; ensuring metrics are met across individual and team performance.
Facilitating daily stand-up meetings and ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams to support shift readiness and performance.
Fostering a culture of safety by modeling best practices, escalating hazards, and ensuring compliance with site safety protocols.
Supporting strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the manufacturing team.

Basic Qualifications:
4+ years in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
2+ years in a lead or supervisory role, managing production activities or supporting a team.
Demonstrated ability to read technical documentation, interpret work instructions, and ensure quality adherence.
Experience with tools, equipment, and systems used in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree or technical certification in manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field.
Experience in Lean manufacturing, 6S, or Kaizen practices.
Experience facilitating training and contributing to the development of new team members.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead meetings and coordinate across multiple teams.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $100,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
