About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary research team within the School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Queensland, working on a FightMND-funded project investigating the role of dietary lipids in motor neuron disease (MND). As the project coordinator, you will work closely with senior researchers, clinicians, and dietitians across UQ and the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital to lead the coordination and delivery of lived-experience qualitative research aimed at improving health outcomes for people living with MND.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating participant recruitment, data collection, and delivery of qualitative and co-design research activities, including interviews, focus groups, and surveys
- Supporting and contributing to literature reviews, qualitative data analysis, and preparation of research outputs
- Managing research documentation, ethics submissions, and data in accordance with governance and ethical requirements

About You
- A degree-level qualification in health sciences, nutrition and dietetics, psychology, biomedical science, public health, or a related discipline (or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience)
- Demonstrated experience in qualitative research methods, including interviews, focus groups, or survey-based research
- Experience using qualitative analysis software (e.g. NVivo) and familiarity with survey platforms such as REDCap or Qualtrics
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple research and administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with research participants and stakeholders
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research environment
- Previous experience supporting human research studies or working with people living with chronic or neurological conditions will be highly regarded
