Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Analyst – Strategic Planning, you will own a portfolio of work focused on aircraft maintenance decision modeling, analytics, reporting, and data management. Serving as a fleet portfolio owner, you'll lead projects from conception to completion — assessing internal and external capacity environments, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, and developing actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

You will play a critical role in optimizing aircraft maintenance planning by balancing core maintenance requirements with modification projects, scheduled checks, and other operational needs such as paint or landing gear changes. This position influences both short-term and long-term fleet maintenance strategy across the organization.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Create, maintain, and implement long-term airframe maintenance plans.
  • Apply strong business acumen to understand total cost of ownership, assess risks, and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Perform data mining, aircraft maintenance visit forecasting, and scenario modeling to minimize cost and maximize aircraft availability.
  • Lead and support impact analyses, cost-benefit studies, and change readiness assessments.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders to align maintenance strategies across departments.
  • Track performance metrics to create feedback loops that drive continuous improvement.

This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower, located in Chicago, IL, and is considered a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office.

Qualifications

What's Needed to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in data analysis and quantitative modeling techniques (e.g., statistical, optimization, simulation, or spreadsheet-based).
  • One (1) year of experience in a planning, strategy, or equivalent analytical role.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills with an aptitude for solving complex problems.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and data visualization.
  • Proven ability to recognize and prioritize opportunities while managing multiple, competing deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for delivering results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment and across all levels of management.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • Successful completion of the interview process is required to meet job qualifications.

What Will Help You Propel from the Pack (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Master's degree, MBA, or MS in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Experience in airline planning, maintenance, or operations analysis.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Spotfire or Tableau.
  • Basic SQL or other programming language experience.
  • Project Management or Lean Six Sigma certification.

The base pay range for this role is $87,780.00 to $114,376.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
