Project Coordinator

Established in 2008, Ubisoft Chengdu is one of the key game studios in western China and a full-fledged production center, with over 450 talents contributing to Ubisoft's line-up. We have a strong track record of co-development on Ubisoft's biggest brands such as Assassin's Creed®, Skull and Bones™ and For Honor®, as well as developing casual games such as Rabbids party game and bringing hit titles to Switch.

Meanwhile, we are also a pioneer in cutting-edge technology driving Ubisoft's "games as a service (GAAS)" ethos. Chengdu's technology team develops products that empower production teams to make educated, data-driven decisions on hit Ubisoft brands.

We are looking for a proactive and highly organized Project Coordinator to own the planning, tracking, and communication of production workflows across multidisciplinary teams. You'll be embedded in a cross-functional team and work directly under an Associate Producer to deliver production outcomes and strengthen collaboration across departments. This role requires strong operational discipline, structured thinking, and a high degree of ownership—with the ability to adapt across different pipelines and production needs as they evolve.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate and maintain detailed schedules, task tracking, and production documentation across multiple pipelines using tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Monitor milestone progress and deliverable quality, ensuring cross-functional alignment between disciplines such as design, engineering, art, UX, and data analytics.
  • Drive clear, consistent communication between stakeholders by facilitating day-to-day collaboration, context sharing, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure production outputs are clearly scoped, documented, and aligned with implementation constraints.
  • Lead sprint ceremonies including planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives; ensure outcomes and follow-up actions are tracked and completed.
  • Identify risks, blockers, scope creep, or misalignments early, and raise them with actionable insight to producers and relevant leads.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement by observing inefficiencies, proposing optimizations, and driving adoption of better workflows and tools.
  • Collaborate closely with other Project Managers to align on standards, improve coordination practices, and maintain consistency across teams.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the video game industry in a coordination or production-related role.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders including developers, designers, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Confluence; capable of building and maintaining schedules, dashboards, and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of iterative production processes, with the ability to track tasks across fast-moving, cross-functional teams and evolving priorities.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills, with sharp attention to detail and a structured approach to task execution.
  • A strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Confidence in identifying risks, surfacing blockers, and communicating concerns proactively, constructively, and diplomatically.
  • A mindset focused on collaboration, improvement, and adaptability—you thrive in environments that change quickly and expect you to think critically.

Ubisoft is a global leader in gaming with teams across the world creating original and memorable gaming experiences, from Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six to Just Dance and more. We believe diverse perspectives help both players and teams thrive. If you're passionate about innovation and pushing entertainment boundaries, join our journey and help us create the unknown!

We embrace a hybrid work model helping you stay connected with your team and aligned with business priorities, while giving you the opportunity to maintain your work-life balance. Note, that some roles are fully office-based and are not eligible for hybrid work.

  • Experience overseeing a game through full development cycles—from pre-production to launch.
  • Familiarity with LiveOps and ongoing content update pipelines.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design workflows, including wireframes, flows, and iterative prototyping.
