Account Manager

TSMC Japan is seeking an Account Manager to build and manage strong relationships with our customers and support a diverse range of product lines. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contributing to their business growth and dedicating yourself to building and maintaining long-term partnerships. The Account Manager plays a vital role in TSMC's success. We are looking for someone with deep knowledge of the semiconductor industry, business-level Japanese and English, and the ability to grasp the big picture while paying attention to detail. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development and Execution: Develop account strategies for assigned customers and collaborate closely with internal teams, including technical support and customer support, to achieve common goals.
  • Strong Relationship Building: Utilize leadership skills to deepen trust with customers at all levels, working in cooperation with diverse teams within TSMC.
  • Team Leadership: Effectively lead internal teams to resolve daily business and technical challenges for assigned customers.
  • Customer Proposals and Coordination: Regularly consult with customers to propose and deliver technical and cost-effective solutions that benefit both the customer and TSMC.
  • Demand Forecasting and Supply Management: Forecast customer needs regarding future semiconductor nodes and coordinate and arrange the supply system to ensure products are delivered to customers reliably.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Over 10 years of combined experience in sales, marketing, business development, or foundry management in the semiconductor industry.
  • Semiconductor Expertise: Deep understanding of semiconductor technology, product design, manufacturing processes, and the entire flow including testing and product engineering.
  • Customer Orientation and Excellent Communication Skills: Customer-centric perspective with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Organizational Skills and Adaptability: Ability to prioritize, efficiently organize tasks, and handle multiple tasks quickly and simultaneously.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate smoothly and work cooperatively with multiple teams and departments.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Language Skills: Business-level English and native-level Japanese. Chinese language skills are a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of semiconductor (unit package or module) cost models.
