Key Account Manager II

The Insurance Marketing Solutions team partners with P&C carriers to support customer acquisition, cross-sell, and portfolio growth using TransUnion's marketing solutions, including identity, audiences (FCRA and non-FCRA) and measurement. The team focuses on driving growth within the property and casualty insurance marketing space, partnering closely with clients to manage and expand both new and existing business opportunities. It operates within a sales-driven environment, supporting marketing functions for insurance carriers while delivering high-impact direct marketing solutions.

This role reports directly to the Sales Director, Account Development within the Direct Sales division. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

  • The Key Account Manager II plays a critical role in supporting large and complex Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance carriers and is responsible for driving strong execution, operational alignment, identifying cross-sell opportunities and long-term value realization across TransUnion's data driven marketing solutions
  • The Key Account Manager II works in close partnership with Account Executives, who retain ownership of client relationships and commercial strategy, while this role focuses on delivery excellence, program leadership, and optimization
  • Lead day-to-day execution for assigned P&C insurance carrier accounts and serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients
  • Own onboarding, implementation, optimization, and issue resolution
  • Lead enterprise-scale direct marketing programs, including direct mail and email
  • Oversee audience strategy, execution readiness, campaign coordination, and performance tracking
  • Partner with analytics and operations teams to support optimization and actionable insights and collaborate closely with Account Executives to support account plans and growth objectives
  • Identify expansion opportunities based on solution usage and program performance and support QBRs, planning discussions, and renewal readiness
  • Coordinate across Product, Analytics, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Billing teams and ensure adherence to insurance-specific data governance and regulatory requirements
  • Limited travel for client meetings, conferences and internal meetings (up to 20%)

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • 8–12+ years of experience in account management, client delivery, or customer success roles
  • Direct experience supporting Property & Casualty insurance carriers
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale direct marketing programs (mail and email)
  • Experience working in partnership with sales teams where Account Executives own the client relationship
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly seasoned and professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams as well as external clients and partners

Required Technical Skills

  • Lead enterprise-scale direct marketing programs, including direct mail and email
  • Oversee audience strategy, execution readiness, campaign coordination, and performance tracking
  • Partner with analytics and operations teams to support optimization and actionable insights

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting insurance acquisition or cross-sell programs
  • Familiarity with data-driven marketing, identity, or analytics solutions
  • Comfort working in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment
  • Experience supporting executive-level client discussions

Pay Scale Information:

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $92,250.00 - $153,750 annually. This position is eligible for both base pay and commission earnings. TransUnion commission targets are generally 20% – 50% of base salary and may vary based on position. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
