Transamerica Retirement Plan Onboarding Specialist

Oversee the onboarding of new plan sponsor retirement plans and the conversion of existing plans from other providers. Provide customized service and communications throughout the installation process to ensure deliverables are met. Manage relationships with plan sponsors, financial advisors, third party administrators, and associated stakeholders. The intermediate role is responsible for onboarding small to mid-size plan sponsors.

Responsibilities include managing the installation of defined contribution retirement plans, analyzing deliverable dates and timetables to create detailed project plans, evaluating timelines for liquidation of investments, determining education options, managing transition of funds, delegating and monitoring record keeping setup, ensuring regulatory notices are accurate, conducting consultative discussions for plan reviews, serving as primary plan sponsor contact, analyzing data and conversion files, planning and executing communications, managing relationships with internal partners and external contacts, and confirming the accuracy and delivery of enrollment materials.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a business field or equivalent experience, two years of financial services industry experience, good understanding of retirement plan regulations, client-focused approach, outstanding communication and relationship building skills, time management and organizational skills, problem solving skills, and ability to quickly learn and navigate numerous systems.

Preferred qualifications include expertise in managing mid-market plans with a focus on assets valued at $5 million and above.

Working conditions include office or hybrid office (Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday in office).

Compensation for this position generally ranges between $64,000 - $80,000 annually. Actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation, and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law. Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus of 10% based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.
