The Oxoid Germany GmbH as part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific group is a production, sales, and service location with around 200 employees. In the business area SDG (Specialty Diagnostics Group), to which the Microbiology Division belongs, products are manufactured that are used for microbiological applications in clinical laboratories for the diagnosis of infectious diseases and in food and pharmaceutical operations to ensure that their products and production facilities are free of microbial contamination.

For our sales regions in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, and northern North Rhine Westphalia, we are looking for a Clinical Diagnostic Account Manager Microbiology (m/w/d) to join us as soon as possible.

Discover a role that makes a difference:

This is a sales position in the field outside within Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, and the north of NRW. You are responsible for the relationship between the microbiology business area and local customers within the clinical segment within the assigned area. You promote the value proposition of microbiology to these customers by driving microbiology and AST tests through innovation.

Your tasks:

  • Develop a solid business plan for the area, aiming to achieve or exceed the AOP by driving profitable growth. Our planned innovative product launches will provide customers with solution-based workflows.
  • You are responsible for developing a coordinated strategy for the area with vertical teams, functions, and departments at Thermo Fisher Scientific to drive growth and a strong customer experience.
  • Effective price management, handling tenders, understanding the "power of 1%," and providing feedback on market/competitive information and increasing customer satisfaction are part of your daily activities.
  • For this position, it is required to work customer-oriented and results-oriented, equipped with a will to succeed, a good sense for business opportunities, to excel with a high work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Your qualifications:

  • A degree in biology, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Experience in handling microbiological products is advantageous.
  • You are highly skilled in 4 core competencies: customer relationship management, agile selling, self-leadership, commercial excellence
  • At least 1 year of experience with microbiological products or similar
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Relevant skills/experience in a similar market environment
  • Driver's license class B (time travel effort: 80% of total working time)
  • High willingness to travel, overnight stays required while traveling
