Oxoid Deutschland GmbH as part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific group is a production, distribution, and service site with around 200 employees. In the Specialty Diagnostics Group (SDG) business area, to which the Microbiology Division belongs, products are manufactured that are used for microbiological applications in clinical laboratories for the diagnosis of infectious diseases and in food and pharmaceutical operations to ensure that their products and production facilities are free from microbial contamination.
Discover a role that makes a difference: This is an outside sales position within Bavaria and the north of Baden-Württemberg. You are responsible for the relationship between the microbiology business area and local customers within the clinical segment within the assigned area. You promote the value proposition of microbiology to these customers by driving innovation in microbiology and AST tests.
A day in the life: You develop a solid business plan for the area, which aims to meet or exceed the AOP by driving profitable growth. Our planned innovative product launches will provide solution-based workflows to customers. You are responsible for developing a coordinated strategy for the area with vertical teams, functions, and departments at Thermo Fisher Scientific to drive growth and a strong customer experience. Effective price management, handling bids, understanding the "power of 1%," and providing feedback on market/competitive information and increasing customer satisfaction are part of your daily activities. For this position, it is required to work customer-oriented and results-oriented, with a strong desire to succeed, a good sense for business opportunities, a high work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
The key to success: A degree in biology, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Experience in handling microbiological products is beneficial. You are highly skilled in 4 core competencies: customer relationship management, agile selling, self-leadership, commercial excellence. At least 1 year of experience with microbiological products or similar. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Relevant skills/experience in a similar market environment. Class B driver's license (80% of total working time is spent traveling). High willingness to travel, overnight stays required.
