National Account Manager

The primary responsibility of a National Account Manager is to establish contracts and orders for Tradesmen's services within the various verticals. National Account Managers customarily and regularly perform this primary responsibility in the field by meeting with high-ranking personnel (including C-level Executives), educating about the Tradesmen International Value Proposition, and managing national account portfolios. National Account Manager is responsible for locating and bringing in new business, as well as maintaining client relationships that increase the usage of Tradesmen International's services and workforce.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generate and drive profitable revenue
  • Maintains and exceeds sales goals set by the company
  • Generates sales leads and prospects for clients
  • Makes direct sales calls and presentations to clients at their place of business
  • Educates prospects and clients about the relationship between the use of a high-skilled variable workforce and productivity and profitability
  • Registers new clients according to the business plan and educates the client about the benefits and terms of doing business with Tradesmen
  • Establishes a process whereby their clients pay Tradesmen within the payment terms of our contract
  • Attends trade-related association and networking events; participates on association committees
  • Strategic customer relationship management
  • Follows up with registered clients to build relationships, to create an initial order, and to keep clients actively using Tradesmen when our field employees are productive for them by regularly visiting the client's place of business such as corporate headquarters, key project sites and or regional offices
  • Builds ongoing relationships with each client's senior management, office personnel, and jobsite superintendents by regularly visiting the client's place of business and by other means
  • Conducts follow up communication with client after field employee dispatch to ensure client satisfaction and quality control
  • Delivers periodic employee evaluations to client
  • Decides how to deal with client issues and complaints in a proactive and professional manner and with a sense of urgency
  • Develop a strategic account plan for each client and their portfolio
  • Maintains and updates client information such as key contacts, business plan and strategy in Salesforce
  • Possesses key competencies and skills that will drive aligned business goals and revenue for their respective portfolio
  • Works collaboratively with Tradesmen Field Sales, Recruiting, Workforce Development and Corporate resources to achieve the desired business results
  • Inspires teamwork and accountability by developing collaborative relationships with Field Sales designed to drive profitable top line revenue
  • Closes through logical steps by reinforcing the purchase decision in a multiphase sale by setting an objective for each stage, gaining agreement, and identifying customer verifiable outcomes
  • Ability to negotiate win-win solutions with clients
  • Possesses strong communication skills and executive presence
  • Encourage additional sales by managing and transmitting information to support the sales process
  • Attend required meetings, including one on one meetings with the sales manager, operations meetings, business development meetings, and sales training meetings
  • Supports the field with any work-related injuries for investigation by being informed of the incident and communicating with key corporate client contacts on cause and remedy
  • Supports the recruitment process by encouraging employee referrals from top field employees and hands out referral program literature as appropriate
  • Remains updated on, and adheres to, all procedures detailed in the field office procedures manual
  • Participates in field and classroom training activities within specified timeframes
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the director of enterprise sales

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a national or key account manager
  • Solid sales experience in a B2B environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
  • BS degree in sales, business administration, or relevant field, or 5+ years of industry experience
  • Standard computer skills - experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, Outlook, or equivalents
  • Experience and success using CRM software is a plus
  • Expected travel up to 50%
  • Position requires valid driver's license and reliable transportation
