Implementation Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Lead

Technatomy is currently seeking qualified professionals to support the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support - Wholesale (DMLSS) program under the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
The Implementation Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Lead provides expert-level support, analysis, and research for exceptionally complex technical and functional problems related to system design, architecture, and implementation. This role serves as a senior technical authority and advisor on executive-level project teams, offering guidance, interpretation, and alternative solutions for high-impact initiatives.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support, analysis, and research into exceptionally complex problems and processes relating to assigned subject matter.
- Serve as a technical expert on executive-level project teams, providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives.
- Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to define and solve complex enterprise challenges.
- Contribute to the development of new concepts, architectures, and methodologies to improve system performance and integration.
- Work independently under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives.
- Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to achieve project success and mission outcomes.
- Develop advanced technological ideas and guide their implementation into final operational products.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills in presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Knowledge And Skills Required:
- Nine (9) years of relevant experience.
- Experience in providing functional support for major development and upgrade efforts as well as post production.
- Expert experience in one or more IT areas such as: Information Systems Architecture; Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture or Implementation; Information Systems Integration; Software Development Methodologies; Security Engineering; Communications or Network Systems Management.
- Expert experience in functional areas such as finance, logistics, or operations research.
- Experience providing end-to-end direction and functional oversight.
Knowledge And Skills Desired:
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams in the implementation of enterprise solutions.
- Experience developing new technical concepts, frameworks, or processes to enhance organizational performance.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence strategic technical direction.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Clearance:
- Must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3).
