Technical Account Manager

Striim, (pronounced "stream" with two i's for integration and intelligence), is a unified data integration and streaming platform that connects clouds, data, and applications with unprecedented speed and simplicity to deliver the right data at the right time. Striim is looking for a passionate, driven, and customer-focused Technical Account Manager to join our team in India. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM), you will be a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to a portfolio of our most important enterprise customers. You will be the primary technical point of contact as well as responsible for ensuring adoption, technical alignment, and driving long-term value from customer investment in our real-time data integration platform. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role that requires a deep understanding of our product, the customer's technical environment, and the broader data integration landscape. You will work closely with the Account Executive (AE) to provide a unified and comprehensive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Technical Partnership:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key technical stakeholders at customer accounts, including developers, engineers, and architects.
    • Act as the voice of the technical customer within Striim, ensuring their feedback on product features and technical challenges is heard.
    • Proactively engage with customers to understand their technical objectives, architecture, and evolving data integration requirements.
  • Technical Expertise and Guidance:
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on our real-time data integration platform, providing deep technical guidance, best practices, and architectural recommendations.
    • Assist customers with complex implementation challenges, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of their data integration pipelines.
    • Conduct technical reviews and health checks of customer environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and stability.
    • Stay current with product updates, new features, and the broader data integration and streaming ecosystem.
  • Strategic Planning and Value Realization:
    • Partner with the Account Executive to develop and execute strategic account plans that align with customer goals and drive platform adoption and expansion.
    • Identify opportunities for customers to leverage additional features, use cases, and products to maximize their return on investment.
    • Assist the AE in preparing for and participating in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) by providing technical insights, usage data, and highlighting the value delivered.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Support teams to escalate and resolve customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Professional Services to ensure a smooth customer onboarding experience and successful project delivery.
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members within the Technical Account Management organization.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Technical Account Manager, Solutions Architect, Professional Services Consultant).
  • Proven experience working with enterprise B2B software, preferably in the data integration, data streaming, or big data space.
  • Deep understanding of real-time data integration concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major real-time data integration platform (e.g., Confluent, Informatica, StreamSets, Qlik, Fivetran, HVR, Goldengate, Apache Nifi, Apache Kafka).
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Cloudera), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong background with relational database management systems, with an emphasis on Oracle Database technologies (i.e. usage, performance tuning, replication, schema management, high availability)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, message queues, and other data stores.
  • Candidates should possess exposure to emerging AI-driven enterprise solutions, including agentic AI, real-time analytics, and intelligent automation.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Open to travel up to 25%
