Operational Support Analyst – Senior

The Operational Support Analyst – Senior, as a member of the Finance department at Rochester Regional Health will provide financial support, analysis, and actionable consultative advice relative to Rochester Regional financial results, operations, budgeting, capital needs, and reporting with the goal of improving overall financial performance and business processes. The Operational Support Analyst – Senior will lead team level project and processes and provide guidance, assistance, and training for other team members.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the development of operating budgets
• Reviewing financial performance against budgets
• Understanding clinical processes
• Developing efficient staffing models
• Understanding supply chain impacts, vendor preferences, and price inflation
• Interpreting financial transactions for non-financial end users
• Providing guidance, assistance, and training for other team members
• Leading and coordinating departmental deliverables

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business/Health Administration, Statistics or related field
• 3 – 5 years of prior relevant experience including experience collecting and analyzing data, healthcare experience preferred
• High level of computer and software competency; proficient with database administration and infrastructure. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional organizational skills; using systematic methods to perform work and creativity to recommend or create new work methods or procedures.
• Analytical, proactive problem solving skills; techniques to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills are essential along with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines.
• Ability to present to audiences to different levels of financial knowledge.
• Comfortable leading meetings and training end users on software packages, reporting, and financial concepts.
• Proven written and oral communication skills along with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment are also essential.
