Investment Compliance Monitoring Services Implementation Expert

We are seeking experienced people to implement and configure investment compliance monitoring services for institutional clients. This role combines technical expertise in compliance rules engines, project management and business engagement to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and enhancements to existing solutions.

The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Services (SSGS). As a key expert in the APAC region, your responsibilities will include:

  • Implement end-to-end new clients onboarding for investment compliance monitoring services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate investment guidelines into technical rule coding logics.
  • Configure compliance rules engines according to client mandates, regulatory requirements (UCITS, MiFID II, Sec, etc.) and prospectus restrictions.
  • Code and test complex compliance rules (e.g., issuer/country/sector limits, liquidity rules, derivative exposures, ESG criteria).
  • Conduct gap analyses between client requirements and system capabilities, and propose solutions.
  • Validate systems output against client expectations, trouble shoot exceptions in UAT environment.
  • Identify operational risks in implementation processes, and escalate issues proactively.
  • Develop best practices for process simplification and automation.
  • System release testing project participation and management.
  • Ensure audit-ready documentation of all configurations.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business/Computer science or related field. (post graduate degree and/or a CFA®, CIPM® or CAIA® would be an advantage).
  • 2-4 years' experience in investment compliance, system implementation within asset management, banking or fintech.
  • Proficiency in SQL on MS SQL Server, VBA, or Python.
  • Experience in configuring and coding in compliance monitoring platforms (Charles River, Aladdin, Sentinel etc.).
  • Hands-on experience of compliance monitor systems (e.g., Charles River, AxiomSL, Bloomberg etc.).
  • Knowledge of financial instruments: equities, fixed income, derivatives.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
