Role Overview: The Front Desk Customer Service Representative assists all customers who visit our BMV Central Office. You will also coordinate with other BMV offices when they have visitors. You will assist customers with title drop-off needs, answer customer questions, and receive documents and files from other agencies.

This position is in the central BMV offices in Indianapolis, Indiana. Hours at Monday through Friday, 8:15 am - 4:45 pm.

A Day in the Life: Responsibilities include:

  • Assist visiting customers with general BMV questions.
  • Receive title drop-offs and facilitate routing them to the Central Office Title Processing Team.
  • Coordinate with other Central Office departments when they have visitors.
  • Facilitate deliveries from other agencies.
  • Assist customers who use the BMV Connect kiosk.

What You'll Need for Success: You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional customer service experience.
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of employees and customers.
  • A high level of critical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general policies and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Familiarity with e-mail and data entry.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
