Join Stantec as a Manager of Accounts / Project Manager for Environmental Services in the commercial sector at one of our offices in Villes St-Laurent, Montreal or Quebec. Within the Stantec community, we have an operational unit of environmental services (ES) that includes a team of professionals serving multinational manufacturing companies in all their activities. Our services cover the entire lifecycle of facilities, including environmental permits and authorizations related to their implementation, preliminary studies, due diligence for acquisitions, SSE support to facilities during operation, dismantling of facilities at the end of life, and characterization and rehabilitation of post-use lands. Working on our global platform requires not only knowledge of national and local regulations and their application, but also an understanding of the political and economic conditions, and the extent of local expertise. Equally important, our clients expect the local team to understand the drivers of their business and their expectations. Your opportunity Stantec is looking for a high-level professional to fill the position of account manager within our environmental services group. The role of the account manager is to understand the client's growth strategies, initiatives, needs, and expectations, and then translate that understanding into project assignments. The account manager communicates client needs and expectations, leads marketing and new opportunity research, coordinates projects assigned to Stantec, and monitors project execution to ensure delivery meets client expectations. The account manager works collaboratively with our technical leaders and regional client managers to ensure client satisfaction, with the ultimate goal of becoming the trusted advisor to our client. The account manager must also be able to complete projects of different scopes within the established budgets and timelines, and to ensure client liaison.
Your main responsibilities The ideal candidate is geographically located in Quebec and has pre-existing relationships in engineering consulting services and in the environmental services industry, as well as a great ability to organize information, communicate clearly, manage expectations, and provide a professional customer service framework. The candidate must have sufficient knowledge of our services to identify opportunities to develop existing services, offer other services or new services that meet client needs and expand our geographic coverage for the client.
Leadership + Compose, develop, and evolve a team of high-performing people to successfully complete a project. + Provide direction and manage projects in a wide variety of environmental services. + Supervise staff as client base and workload increase. Development of Business + Develop 2 to 3 key accounts with a focus on environmental services + Participate actively in regional and national industry groups to promote the Stantec brand. + Engage our clients in meaningful discussions about their most critical issues and translate these discussions into opportunities to provide solutions. + Present Stantec's new service offerings to our clients and demonstrate the confidence that subject matter experts for these services will be committed to excellence in service delivery. + Participate actively in the development of proposals and pricing.

Your background + Bachelor's degree in engineering (geological, civil or chemical), geology or other relevant training; + More than 10 years of professional experience in the field of engineering consulting, with project management and service responsibilities; + More than 5 years of experience in establishing client relationships and business development; + Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the management of water and contaminated soils, and applicable Guides of the MELCCFP; + Professional experience in environmental science or engineering; + Experience in managing integrated services and contract negotiation; + Strong work ethic and desire to succeed as a team; + Mobility: Travel is required to manage accounts in Canada and Quebec;
