It Support Specialist

Is it your passion to provide high-quality IT support to colleagues around the world? We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, motivated and service-oriented IT Support Specialist (m/w/d) to strengthen our global IT team.

As part of the global support & factory IT team, you will work together with committed colleagues in Europe, the USA and Asia. You will be responsible for our newly acquired company Piezocryst GmbH in Graz, Austria. The position is initially for one year.

Our new Level 2 Support Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Processing tickets in a service desk system, international hotline phone inquiries, and direct end-user support – both on-site and remotely.
  • Working together with your colleagues to maintain and implement new IT solutions.

Your daily work includes:

  • Ticket Logging/Update (Incidents/Requests, etc.)
  • Remote Incident Resolution
  • Hardware Installations
  • On-site Troubleshooting/Problem Resolution
  • Inventory Management
  • Software Deployment
  • Reception/Processing of Problems in English
  • Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of IT projects as needed.

Your Profile

Proven knowledge in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in the following areas is required:

  • Desktops, Laptops, Printers, and Computer Peripherals
  • Microsoft Windows 7 to Windows 11
  • Microsoft Office 2010 and higher
  • Teams
  • ADSL/DSL Routers/Firewalls, Lan Switches
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Microsoft Active Directory User Management (Password, Unlocks, etc.)
  • Antivirus Software

Additionally, experience in the following areas would be beneficial:

  • OneDrive
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Cylance
  • Heimdall
  • Bitlocker Encryption
  • Telephony/VoIP Systems
  • Altiris Asset Management
  • VPN Clients
  • SAP Clients
  • Additionally, at least 2 years of documented experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.

Personal Skills

  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
  • Fluent in German and good English proficiency is essential

According to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are obliged to provide the annual salary (full-time) intended for this position as a negotiation basis: 41,253 EUR.

The classification is according to the collective agreement for employees in the industry (Vehicle Industry Association). We offer a market-competitive salary depending on qualification and professional experience.
