Project-Based It Hardware Installation Technician

TEKsystems is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Project-Based IT Hardware Installation Technician to join our team for a two-month contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the physical installation, configuration, and testing of IT equipment at client sites. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines. This will be supporting a TEKsystems client located on Kiawah Island, SC and is 100% onsite. Candidates within 30 minutes from Kiawah will be prioritized. This contract is only two months in duration.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy computers utilizing deployment software.
• Installation/replacement of computers and connecting any peripherals.
• Documentation of replacement computers for inventory purposes
• Physical inventory of hardware

Requirements:

• Experience in IT support, hardware installation, or a related technical field
• Basic to advanced understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work well under limited supervision.
• Have a valid driver license.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with hardware installation.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Johns Island, SC.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
