Key Account Manager Role
For the Business Unit Netherlands, we are looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) Project Business. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the development of our key accounts, both in knowledge and direct sales of project controls, motors, and services. You identify new business opportunities, meet sales budgets, and promote products that meet the needs of our accounts. With your strategic approach and market analysis, you contribute to increasing our market share and fostering sustainable relationships with customers and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing key accounts in both knowledge and direct sales of project controls, motors, and services, so that these accounts can operate independently;
- Identifies new business opportunities within existing and new key accounts (certified specialists);
- Meets the sales budget by guiding a specific group of customers in following relevant projects (leads) and successfully converting them into orders;
- Promotes (new) products that meet the needs of these accounts;
- Analyzes the market, inventories accounts, draws up account/partner plans, and implements action plans after validation by management:
- Collects, interprets, and shares market information: customers, competitors, and potential other channels/customers;
- Follows market developments to be able to anticipate, for example, product developments of competitors;
- Provides input (market share, price evolution, and sales budget) for the company's budget process split into project controls, motors, and services;
- Analyzes volume, sales, product portfolio, and margin developments per customer and shares this information internally with relevant departments;
- Advises on market evolutions and trends as input for the company's strategy;
- Fulfills a "bridge function" in project-oriented solar businesses. This is done by building a relationship, making and executing plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a commercial direction;
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in a commercial position, preferably in the construction or project sales sector;
- Residing: Central Netherlands;
- Familiarity with Salesforce is considered a significant advantage;
- Demonstrable affinity and experience with digital technologies and tools;
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships;
- Proven track record in achieving sales objectives and building a customer portfolio;
- Analytical thinking and experience in market analysis and identifying business opportunities;
- Results-oriented and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
