Corporate Account Manager For Switzerland

The Corporate Account Management Team of Smith+Nephew contributes significantly to sustainable and profitable growth in the DACH region. Through the team, hospital groups, carrier companies, and purchasing communities in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria are supported and business unit-wide sales potentials are unlocked. As a Corporate Account Manager for Switzerland, you will take care of the corresponding national key customers and work closely with various national and international interfaces in the company. In this position, you will report to the Commercial Director for the DACH region.
Location: Switzerland, ideally the Greater Zurich Area
What You Will Do In This Job?
- Development of a corporate account plan for the assigned customers (including the preparation of customer, market, and competition analyses)
- Analysis of open sales potentials and contract opportunities as well as the development of customer goals, strategies, projects, and action plans
- Sales planning as well as analysis and monitoring of financial results
- Establishment and expansion of cooperation with corporate accounts (including the analysis of the purchasing strategy and requirements of the customer as well as the decision-making process and the involved persons and bodies as well as the coordination of activities with the business units)
- Successful contract negotiations for all business areas (including the preparation and conduct of strategic annual meetings and positioning of Smith + Nephew as an innovative industrial partner as well as the leadership of negotiation teams and the coordination of negotiation goals and strategies)
- Development of offers together with the business units, the commercial operations, and the pricing team
- Development of strategic partnerships with relevant customers (including the segmentation of the customer portfolio and the identification of potential customers and the development of a business unit-wide value proposition ('value proposition') and suitable contract models)
- Design and further development of the corporate account management at Smith + Nephew through the development of new approaches, processes, and commercial models as well as 'best practices' in the team
What You Need To Succeed In This Job?
- Higher academic commercial, medical, or natural science education (university, university of applied sciences, or higher vocational school)
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in sales, corporate account management, key account management, and/or marketing, preferably in the medical technology industry
- Solid experience in the Swiss healthcare system with a focus on service providers and/or payers
- Knowledge in the areas of health economics and procurement law in Switzerland is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills, as well as results-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking
- Relevant experience in the development and implementation of negotiation strategies and the leadership of negotiation teams
- Proven successes in working with corporate accounts, particularly in the area of commercial management and purchasing of Swiss hospitals
- Ability to establish and expand sustainable internal networks in the business units and functions, also in the international organization
- Competent project and process management
- Solution-oriented, adaptive communication
- Very good German language skills as well as good English and ideally also French or Italian skills (spoken and written)
