Customer Service Technical Associate is responsible for providing technical support for the Laboratory customer service Call center to facilitate Network Laboratory customers with accurate information for required collection, processing, resulting and service recovery of laboratory specimens.

Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Assists laboratory operation's team in communicating with clients to resolve questions, obtain missing information, and update status of testing. Working knowledge of specimen registration and processing, accurately enters laboratory orders, specimen information and results in information systems.
  • Makes outbound calls to complete laboratory service goals.
  • Answers inbound calls and uses knowledge of general laboratory operations to problem solve calls. Directs questions to the appropriate personnel or department.
  • Researches reference laboratory test specimen requirements and communicates with registration and phlebotomy staff, patients and physicians to complete testing.
  • Assists in developing educational tools for Customer Service Associates orientation and training, and outreach client specimen collection.
  • Participates in maintaining customer service relationships with SLUHN customers with the outreach team, hospital campus staff, Patient Access and couriers.
  • Follows hospital and laboratory policies and procedures as written.

Education:

MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP).
