IT Support Specialist

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be part of our international IT team and ensure that our stores and offices in Germany and Europe operate smoothly. You will support users with technical questions, take care of hardware and software, and manage our retail-POS systems. You will also play an important role in opening new stores and be on-site to set up systems and ensure a smooth start. In this role, you will combine technical know-how with communication skills and actively contribute to the growth of Skechers.

Your Tasks

  • Processing of ServiceNow-requests and support inquiries (phone, email, ticket system)
  • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software
  • Maintenance and support of the Aptos Retail POS system
  • Administration of user accounts and IT systems
  • Communication with internal users and external partners
  • Managing inventory (serial numbers, shipping, asset database, etc.)
  • Documentation of processes and sharing of IT solutions
  • Independent work and active support during store openings in Germany and Europe
  • Technical part of store openings (preparing POS/servers, Meraki, go-live support)
  • Imaging and integration of cash register accessories (scanner, printer, cash drawer)
  • Support for payment terminals (pairing, configuration, connection/billing issues)

Your Profile

  • Training/education in the IT field and several years of professional experience
  • Very good knowledge of Windows OS/10, MS Office (2007/2010/2013), Office 365, as well as Windows Server 2016/2019
  • Fluent English skills in speech and writing (working language)
  • Experience with IT support, ideally in the retail environment (POS systems, networks, hardware)
  • Quick understanding and very good problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, organizational talent, and independent working style
  • Occasional travel in Germany and Europe
