Key Account Manager (m/w/d) - Coatings

As a Key Account Manager (m/w/d) - Coatings, you will be responsible for the development of our most important customers in the field of powder and liquid coatings in the DACH region. You will drive sales, profitability, and growth, identify new business opportunities, and act as a strategic partner (m/w/d) for our customers – supported by a strong international network.

Responsibilities

Your tasks include:

  • Care and expansion of existing customers as well as acquisition of new customers in the DACH region
  • Presentation of new product solutions and development of long-term customer strategies
  • Analysis of market and competitive developments as well as identification of new business opportunities
  • Development and implementation of a regional pricing and growth strategy
  • Regular creation of market, sales, and forecast reports
  • Close cooperation with finance, R&D, supply chain, operations, and marketing
  • Participation in industry trade shows and active networking

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Completed bachelor's degree or comparable training in a relevant natural science, ideally chemistry, engineering, or coating technology
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in sales or key account management in the field of industrial coatings
  • Proven success in acquiring new business opportunities and project and customer closures
  • Experience in developing effective pricing strategies to optimize margins and profitability
  • Knowledge and familiarity with IT programs (e.g., MS and CRM systems)
  • Experience in multinational, multicultural, and dynamic corporate structures
  • Strong communication skills at all levels as well as attention to detail, analytical abilities, and stress resistance when prioritizing tasks
  • Very good German and English language skills in speech and writing
  • Driver's license class B and willingness to travel in the responsible region
