What Does An IT Business Analyst - Commercial Analyst EDI Integration Do?

Sealed Air Shared Services (Philippines) Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and business-savvy Commercial Analyst – EDI Integration to join our IT team in Manila, Philippines. Reporting to the Sr. Manager – Sealed Air IT Department, this hybrid role serves as a key liaison between commercial teams, customers, and technical stakeholders to ensure seamless and efficient EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processes.

With a strong understanding of order-to-cash workflows and EDI standards, the successful candidate will support onboarding of new EDI customers, monitor transaction performance, and drive continuous improvement in digital order management. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking, technical fluency, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with EDI integrations, strong documentation and coordination skills, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.

Why We Need You?

  • Serve as the business subject matter expert (SME) for EDI transactions including order, shipment, and invoice automation (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810).
  • Support onboarding and integration of new EDI customers by coordinating with internal IT, commercial teams, and external partners.
  • Monitor EDI transaction flow, identify issues or failures, and lead root cause analysis and resolution in partnership with IT.
  • Collaborate with customer service, supply chain, and commercial operations to ensure alignment on order-to-cash processes impacted by EDI.
  • Maintain business documentation for EDI mappings, requirements, testing scenarios, and process flows.
  • Analyze transaction performance (e.g., error rates, automation volume, manual interventions) and deliver insights and recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency through EDI and digital order management.

What Are We Looking For In You?

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial operations, commercial systems, or business analyst role with direct EDI exposure.
  • Solid understanding of EDI document standards, integration workflows, and order-to-cash processes.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally between commercial, IT, and customer teams to deliver business value.
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort working in spreadsheets, dashboards, and ERP/order management systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical concepts from a business lens and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project coordination and documentation skills.
  • Familiar with ERP SAP System.
