Account Manager, Automated - Eastern Canada (GTA)
Sealed Air is looking for a results-driven Account Manager to join our Canadian East Sales team, managing and growing the Automated Packaging Systems (APS) Autobag® product line. In this role, you'll drive revenue growth by developing new business through distribution channels, strengthening existing partnerships, and promoting innovative, high-performance packaging solutions.
You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and distributors to deliver value-based solutions, lead strategic sales initiatives, and ensure customer success across a dynamic and competitive industrial market. This position offers autonomy for a motivated, strategic professional with a proven sales track record and a passion for driving results.
This Account Manager will be based in the Greater Toronto Area.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and grow key accounts across Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes, focusing on expanding APS product sales through distributors and direct customer engagement.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with distributors and end users, ensuring customer satisfaction and sustained growth.
- Collaborate with regional sales leadership, marketing, and customer support teams to deliver tailored, value-added packaging solutions.
- Use data-driven insights to quantify and communicate customer value, ensuring success for both Sealed Air and our partners.
- Coordinate efforts with a dedicated sales support team to optimize territory coverage and deliver seamless customer experiences.
- Travel regularly within the territory - including day trips throughout the Greater Toronto Area and periodic overnight stays in Quebec and other key markets.
- Complete the required weekly number of onsite Key Account and Prospect visits.
What We're Looking For
- Proven success in sales within packaging, capital equipment, or automated equipment industries.
- Strong background in distribution management and new business development with a focus on strategic growth.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate value propositions and manage complex sales processes with distributors and end users.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across all levels of customer and internal teams.
- Technically adept and comfortable learning and positioning product solutions across diverse industrial markets.
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
- High integrity, discipline, and accountability in managing a large territory independently.
- Bilingual skills in English and French are preferred to support customers across Eastern Canada.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Engineering, or related field preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in selling high-performance or value-added products, ideally within packaging or capital equipment.
- Experience in protective packaging and/or distribution is an asset.
- Solid financial and analytical acumen for tenders, budgets, and customer agreements.
- Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP system), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM tools.
- Ability to thrive within a matrix organization and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Valid passport and driver's license required; willingness to travel frequently.
