Desktop Support Technician II

Job Description

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Level II technician to join our team. As a Desktop Support Level II technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our internal customers in a fast paced, demanding environment. The ideal candidate must have experience in support ticketing systems and possess strong technical skills in desktop support in a mixed OS environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to employees for desktop hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Maintain inventory of workstation hardware and software.
  • Maintain and update desktop operating systems and software
  • Manage and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve issues and implement solutions
  • Assist with the maintenance and administration of the desktop environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to end-users
  • Provide training to employees on new desktop software and hardware.
  • Maintain documentation of desktop hardware, software, and network configurations.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in desktop support
  • Experience with support ticketing systems
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with RedHat Linux
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, DOS, PowerShell, Perl, and Python
  • Familiarity with unattended installers and OS system imaging
  • CompTIA Certifications including A+, Security+, Linux+
  • Experience with Remote Support Tools (Remote Assistance, Bomgar)

Additional Information

Compensation: Base pay range is $25-32/hour depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
