SAP CPIT provides efficient IT solutions, technology and operational support to our Lines of Businesses (LoBs) with a strong focus on user-centricity. Fundamentally, IT Operations is the backbone to ensure rock solid operations and allow resilient, manageable, and observable system stack running SAP processes.

Our Production Management Portals DevSecOps team is responsible for implementing and operating Application Performance Management, Observability, CI/CD, and Security tool chain. Here we act as the technical trusted advisor and expert, driving together to build and run scalable secure applications in modern, dynamic environments utilizing SAP/custom developed and 3rd party software stack. DevSecOps is the guiding methodology enabling continuous development and integrations in an agile environment. SAP's internal business landscapes build on private, respectively hybrid cloud platforms are a strategic enabler for SAP and therefore crucial for SAP's future success in the cloud.

We are looking for a Principal Cloud Engineer to lead our infrastructure cloud enablement team. Challenge yourself in the fast-paced world of cloud infrastructure and become an integral.

The Role:

1. Oversee setting up tools that will empower delivery teams to release and maintain applications autonomously.
2. Design, implement, and manage DevSecOps capabilities.
3. Analyze and harden existing infrastructure, observability capabilities along Development/Security/Operation processes.
4. Ensure the systems we build limit exposure to single points of failure and security vulnerabilities.
5. Plan, install, and deploy highly-availability solutions in private and public cloud to allow high-impact changes frequently and predictably with minimal toil.

Role Requirements:

• 10+ years working experience, and 5-7 years of experience in building software products/components in a hybrid or cloud environment.
• Bachelor of Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech), in Computer Science or allied branches, or Masters in Computer Applications
• Experienced with Agile Methodology / KANBAN / Jira
• Fluency both written and spoken in English

Tech You Bring:

• Certified knowledge around Azure Public Cloud and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge with DevOps practices and tools like Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, Argo
• Brought knowledge on web-technology stacks
• Good knowledge of network design & security principles
• Experience with observability / APM technology
• Basic knowledge and experience in at least one programming / scripting language such as Python or Ruby
